Pakyong: 2nd Aug: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sikkim, held a District Level Coordination Meeting at Rhenock Tarpin in Pakyong District on Sunday . State President DR Thapa with State General Secretary Dinesh Chandra Nepal, members of the State Executive, Pakyong District President Prem Chettri, district office bearers, mandal functionaries, morcha representatives and party karyakartas participated in it.
53 families from Pakyong District formally joined the BJP Sikkim family, inspired by the ideology of good governance and the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new members were warmly welcomed by State President DR Thapa and the dignitaries present.
Addressing the gathering, BJP State President DR Thapa extended a warm welcome to all the new members and urged them to work with dedication for public service, organisational strengthening and nation building. He stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is steadily progressing towards the goal of Viksit Bharat, and the youth have a decisive role to play in this transformative journey.
Thapa expressed concern that ‘ while the nation is moving forward with development and opportunities, certain local political leaders continue to promote divisive politics and encourage a culture of confrontation and violence among the youth. He appealed to the younger generation to reject such negative influences and instead embrace the path of self-employment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance.’
‘ BJYM State President Lalit Pokhrel Sharma elaborated on the various youth-centric initiatives of the Modi Government aimed at empowering young India. He highlighted flagship programmes, which are creating unprecedented opportunities for entrepreneurship, skill development and employment among the youth’.
‘Speaking on recent developments, Sharma also addressed the NEET-related issues and cautioned young people against being misled by anti-social elements and politically motivated propaganda. He urged the youth of Sikkim to remain focused on education, skill enhancement, innovation and career building rather than getting drawn into disruptive and uncivilised forms of protest instigated for political gains.’
‘Thapa , encouraged the youth to take maximum advantage of the numerous welfare and livelihood initiatives launched by the Central Government, including support for startups, financial assistance for micro-enterprises, skill development programmes and employment-linked opportunities. He assured that BJP Sikkim would continue to provide every possible guidance and assistance to aspiring young entrepreneurs and job seekers so that they can become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the development of Sikkim and the nation’.
‘Earlier, the meeting commenced with a welcome address by Pakyong District President Prem Chettri, who reaffirmed the district unit’s commitment towards strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by District Vice President Yadu Sharma.’
‘The coordination meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by party leaders and karyakartas to further strengthen the organisation across Pakyong District and work collectively towards the vision of a prosperous, self-reliant and developed Sikkim in line with the goal of Viksit Sikkim and Viksit Bharat, according to BJP Sikkim .
