Gangtok:24th July :’Privileged to inaugurate the newly constructed Pema Choling Gumpa in Salghari, Poklok-Kamrang Constituency on the sacred occasion of Guru Rinpoche’s Thrunkar Tshechu in the esteemed presence of Respected Lachung Rinpoche,’ said CM.
CM Tamamg ,has dedicated newly constructed Pema Choling Gumpa to the service of the people and has prayed ,that it becomes a lasting source of peace, spiritual awakening, and prosperity for generations to come.
“This monastery is a centre of faith, wisdom, ‘compassion, and cultural heritage. It nurtures moral values, spiritual learning, and harmony, while guiding future generations on the path of peace and humanity.
The Government of Sikkim remains committed to preserving our rich religious and cultural heritage alongside development. Namchi has emerged as an important destination for spiritual tourism, where diverse places of worship stand as symbols of our unity in diversity and communal harmony.
CM has thanked the Pema Choling Gumpa Committee, the Buildings & Housing Department, all officials, engineers, workers, donors, well-wishers, and every individual whose dedication made the project possible.’
CM has also appealed to everyone to make this gumpa not only a place of worship but also a centre for meditation, learning, community service, and the preservation of rulanguage, culture, and Buddhist philosophy for future generations.
