‘Over the years, the Press Club has played a significant role in strengthening the media fraternity and promoting responsible journalism. A free and independent press is the cornerstone of a vibrant democracy, and our government remains committed to supporting the welfare and growth of media professionals.’
‘We have taken several initiatives in this direction, including increasing the annual grant to the Press Club, establishing the Press Club Bhawan, enhancing journalists’ awards, revising advertisement rates, providing health insurance for accredited journalists, and launching the Patrakar Samman Yojana for retired journalists.’
CM ,has urged all journalists to continue upholding the highest standards of integrity and use the power of the media to showcase the peace, progress, and aspirations of Sikkim.’
