Gangtok:15th June: Empowerment of women in Sikkim has been taking proving itself in many ways.The latest being Sikkim girl all set to take up profession as a commercial pilot.
In the words of Chief Minister PS Tamang, ‘I am delighted to learn that Miss Anjali Adhikari has successfully completed her Commercial Pilot Training at Avyanna Aviation Academy in Rajasthan.’
The daughter of a single mother, Smt. Mamta Basnett, and a resident of Navgaon, Namcheybong, under Pakyong District, Anjali has made her family and the entire state proud.
CM has added ,’seeing our young talents excel in their chosen fields and emerge as inspirations for future generations is a matter of immense pride and joy. The Government of Sikkim is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for talented and deserving individuals like Anjali, empowering them with opportunities, encouragement, and necessary support to pursue their aspirations and realise their full potential.’
Anjali has disclosed to CM, that she will soon ‘travel to Bangkok to undertake the A320 Type Rating course at Acron Aviation Bangkok, an important milestone in her journey towards becoming a commercial airline pilot.’
