Gangtok:22nd May: A fake notification regarding Darjeeling Kalimpong Sikkim and one more place merger has been issued by some unknown identity in the name of concerned Union Minister.State Govt of Sikkim has reported the matter to Police for further n.a.In the meantime BJP Sikkim ‘s 3 member delegation alsoodged a General Diary in rhe Sadar Police State today.Prez Pempo Lepcha,Niren Bhandari and Passang G Sherpa said they have condemned the fabricated letter full of pack of lies.And have asked Police authorities to take action against the culprits.And also those who even after learning that its all misinformation ,have been propagating it.
Through the communique issued here today BJP has informed:”BJP Sikkim has lodged an FIR at Sadar Thana, Gangtok against the circulation of a fake and misleading Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) notification on social media falsely claiming the merger of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Dooars with Sikkim.”
“The party strongly condemned it as provocative propaganda aimed at creating unrest and urged people not to share unverified content.”
