Gangtok:22nd May: Customer Committee meeting was convened , here today by the Manager Axis Bank Chewang Sherpa. He was joined by Assistant Manager Sushmita Sharma to generate awareness among customers and to satisfy their queries.
In order to avoid fraud you should not share your details , including OTPs, KYC and any other with others When you are asked online for such details , you should not tell anything about it. Bank, never asks you for such information online. If ever you get sich a call please visit bank personally and inform. These days fraudsters call pepole over phone and claim they are from Bank.If anyone gives our banking details to such people they will see harm caused to their bank account , ‘ emphasised Sushmita Sharma .
Answering a question from a senior citizen customer,whose daughter lost 1 lakh additional amount than due to a shop ,the Manager Chewang Sherpa made it clear that ‘,if while swiping a card in a commercial outlet/ shop you happened to loose money, it certainly went to that establishment where you made payment. ‘ The lady said they realised it much later as even the mobile went out of order after that event.
For those who dont want to get commerical calls again and again,Manager suggested opting for DNC provision that bank has.He said if a customer opts for Do Not Call he / she will not get those calls. ‘
Sushmita answering to customers said Axis has a form which can be filled up for registering to opt out of getting those calls.
The custmers were also asked if they have any grievances to be redressed.
