Gangtok/Kurseong :19th May: MP Darjeeling Raju Bista participated in Thanksgiving to the Voters of Kurseong, today, The programme in Kurseong “Parivartan Sankalp Siddhi Utsav”, organized to thank the people of Kurseong Vidhan Sabha constituency, who have voted decisively in favour of change.
MP Bista, said ,’ The people of Kurseong constituency have demonstrated extraordinary courage and unity in standing up to the Trinamool Congress and their Alliance. Despite TMC vicitimizing anyone speaking against them, the people have refused to be silenced, and come together to speak out loud for rights and dignity. They have shown that when people with integrity stand, they inspire hope in thousands of others.’ MP Bista has thanked all of them ‘ for their trust and support.’
‘We will begin a new era of transparent and accountable governance in Kurseong constituency by conducting the long-overdue elections to Kurseong and Mirik Municipalities.’
MP alleged that ‘Under Mamata Banerjee’s misrule, these civic bodies were reduced to centers of corruption and political neglect, which deprived the citizens of effective local governance and basic civic services. ‘
According to MP ,In the field of education and healthcare,existing schools and colleges will be upgraded to modern campus. For better provisions of health services , Kurseong Hospital will be upgraded to a modern 200-bed facility, with specialized treatments. Rural roads, bridges will be built and all major infrastructure projects,will be completed.
Further. for ‘enhancing employment opportunities, a special youth employment and skill development centre will be established to provide training in hospitality, IT, and agro-based industries, empowering the next generation to build prosperous careers within the hills rather than migrating elsewhere,’MP added.
MP said ‘ coordination with the tea garden workers to ensure opening of all shut-down tea gardens, payment of timely wages, PF and other dues, and work towards ensuring Parja Patta rights for them,’ will be given importance, according to information from office of MP Bista.
‘In the next five years, they will ensure a transparent, corruption-free governance and genuine decentralisation of power to address the long-standing aspirations of the people of our region,’said MP cum National Spokesperson, Bista finally.
