4th May: India and Nepal, Two friendly nations have developed differences over Lipulekh pass, Uttrakhand. As the registration for ‘Mansarover Yatra’ has been going on, Nepal Govt has raised objections through diplomatic channel.Nepal has claimed Lipulekh as part of their territory.
While , trade was carried out by Bhutias of Kumaon region in Uttralhand ,India with Tibet from there. And now once again India and China have decided to resume tours, trade and pilgrimage through the LL pass route. The pilgrimage (Kailsh Mansarover Yatra) is scheduled to begin from 30th June:2026 from Lipulekh pass 5334 meters high Himalayan region. The route used from 1954 has now been challenged. Other route is from Nathula pass.
