Gangtok, April 25 : Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, was conferred the “Best Chief Minister Award” at the 7th Edition of Asia’s Leadership Summit & Six Sigma Healthcare Excellence Awards 2026 held at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi.
The award was received on his behalf by Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industries, Government of Sikkim, Tshering Thendup Bhutia, in the presence of dignitaries and participants from across the country.
The honour recognises the Chief Minister’s leadership, governance, and contribution to public service in the State. The selection followed an evaluation process conducted by the Board of Jury, based on parameters related to administration and service delivery.
The summit brought together policymakers, senior officials, members of the armed forces, healthcare professionals, and representatives from various sectors. Awards were presented under different categories to recognise contributions in governance, healthcare, leadership, and public service.
The recognition reflects the State Government’s continued focus on strengthening governance systems and improving service delivery. It is expected to contribute to the State’s ongoing work in governance, development, and delivery of public services.
