Gangtok/ Mal Bazar 5th Jan :MP Darjeeling,Raju Bista, addressed the “Parivartan Sankalp Sabha” and participated in Padyatra, organised at Odla bari under Mal Assembly Constituency in Jalpaiguri District. Thousands of citizens from Mal Bazar and surrounding areas participated in the padyatra and public meeting with great enthusiasm.
MP Bista, said ‘Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,BJP is committed to transforming our entire North Bengal region, and developing it as an engine of growth for the nation.’
‘As a New Year’s gift, the Central Government has approved ₹1,172 crore for the construction of a new bridge over the Teesta River, connecting Sevoke with Ellenbari and fulfilling a decades-old demand. I am happy to share that plans are also underway to construct an Expressway connecting Ellenbari, Odlabari, Mal Bazar, and Alipuduar,’ MP, added further.
According to Bista, ‘ A proposal has been submitted for the Namo Bharat Rail service to connect Siliguri with Hashimara via Sevoke, Bagrakot, Odlabari, Mal Bazar, Chalsa, Nagrakata, Banarhat, and Birpara. Moreover, the Siliguri Ring Road will also encompass Odlabari, making Oldabari-Mal Bazar the centre of various developmental work. When these projects are completed, traveling from Odlabari to Siliguri will only take 45 minutes.’
‘To assist the tea garden workers, our government has implemented the Four New Labour Codes, which will ensure higher wages, better living and working conditions, and better social security for our tea garden workers and their families’.
‘ Though 78 years have passed since Independence, it is under the leadership of PM Modi , that the Darjeeling Hills, Terai, and Dooars have witnessed real, visible, and sustained development.’
‘North Bengal has suffered under the step-motherly treatment meted out by the Trinamool Congress government, but we won’t tolerate this any more.
