Kudos Sadar Police Gangtok- for retrieving Rs 99000 from Cyber Criminal

Gangtok,Sept: Public in Sikkim is happy to know that there are chances of retrieving the  money stolen by cyber criminals at times,if the victim reports in time.

One such incidents took place recently here when a person was shocked to see Rs 99000/- missing from his bank. account,soon after clicking on a link on his mobile phone!

But how did he get the link?

The person  X got a call / message saying Power Supply of his Siliguri flat was going to be cut off due to some reason.So ,if required click on the link being sent.This will keep it as it is and later there will be no problem going through the whole process.’ The person,X clicked on the link and instantly found Rs 99000/- withdrawn from his bank account.He realised that he had been cheated.

X went to the Sadar Police and reported te matter.The authorities resorting to Portal looked into the fraud .Soon detected the money being forwarded to someone in Delhi.After legal proceedings they stopped the money where it was and warned of circumstances in case it was not returned to the bank account  in question in Gangtok .Finally the amount was back here.

The account holder X was much relieved and happy to get a big token Black & White Cheque from Sadar Police Station in headed by incharge .

When asked if it has been really returned as reported on Facebook,Incharge Neeraj Khatiwada simply said ‘ Yes’!
