PM Modi’s initiative -Ek Ped Maa ke Naam : Sikkim CM plants a sapling with his mother
Gangtok ,5th June :On World Environment Day, CM sought blessings from his mother. He said , ‘my beloved mother, is the source of my strength and grounding. In her presence, I planted a tree as part of Prime Minister ,Narendra Modi’s heartfelt initiative, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”
CM Tamang has said ‘here is something deeply fulfilling about this gesture. Dedicating a tree to the one who gave me life, nurtured me, and shaped the person I am today. Every moment spent with her is a reminder of unconditional love and warmth, and today, that love took root in the form of a sapling, a symbol of gratitude, life, and hope for generations to come.’
