Gangtok beautified with illumination coloured Flags & Tri Colour
Gangtok,28th May As the countdown to PM N Modi’s arrival begins ,the Capital is also crowded .People from across the State ,from Kalimpong ,Darjeeling ,Siliguri and officers on advance duty from centre are all looking forward to PM’s visit.Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,is scheduled to arrive here for Sikkim’s Statehood Celebrations,on Friday ,at Paljor Stadium.
Chief Minister PS Tamang,has been personally visiting the Stadium since last few days to see the progress.He visited today also on the final day of preparations and rehearsals for cultural presentations.MLA Kala Rai herself sat through the rehearsals and performance of around 1800 youth.
The Sikkim Police is manning all important points for security .’ 1000 Police men have been deployed on different points,under the officers ,’informed SP Gangtok Tenzing Loday Lepcha.He was accompanied by Additional SP Karma Chedup Bhutia,SHO Sadar Niraj Khatiwada and AS (Traffic ) Niraj Khatiwada. SP has advised public not to carry bottles and disposable other items as drinking water arrangement has been made in the ground for public.Toilets are also there.People should entre galleries before 8 am and stay till the exit is made possible after the Public meet ends and VVIP departs.
PM and CM are scheduled to deliver speech,on the occasion
Security arrangements have been made on Singtam Ranipul Tadung also,besides Pakyong airport and road. From Ganju Lama Dawar to Paljor Stadium the green line is there.Roads will remain closed for traffic till the public meeting cum celebrations in Paljor Stadium end.
On Friday people ,particularly Gangtokians,Tourists and other visitors are looking forward to Drone display also.On the whole it is expected to be wonderful,peaceful and thrilling experience for everyone.
