Gangtok;26th Oct:Rimbi village under the Yuksom-Tashiding Constituency,has been affected by devastating landslides last month.Now all sorts of restoration efforts are being made.In the series Ruling party SKM ‘s Social media has come up with lavish Contribution.
As per information,’The SKM Social Media, Press and Publicity Cell has contributed ₹1,79,313 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.The amount has been handed over to support families affected by the devastating floods in Rimbi.’
SKM S.M has handed over the cheque to Principal Secretary to the CM today.Accprding to SM it is their ‘ solidarity of the cell towards supporting flood-affected families during this difficult time’.
Earlier,CM PS Tamang visited the Village himself to assess the situation and gave orders/ cheques.Subsequently he said,’Our government stands firmly with the affected families during this difficult time. As an immediate measure of support, cheques and cash assistance under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) were handed over to the affected families, in accordance with the prescribed norms and the extent of damage sustained.’
‘We are also committed to ensuring that the affected families have a safe and secure place to call home. Accordingly, house allotment orders were provided under Sikkim Garib Aawas Yojana (SGAY). The arrangements will be made for the construction of houses for those who have lost their homes,’ said CM.
