Gangtok:14th Dec: All Sikkim Bhutia Association’s cultural festival has started today, at the ‘Swarna Jayanti Maitreya Manjari, Ridge Park, here. The venue has been beautifully decorated and illuminated with colourful lights.
‘Denzong Geunkyi Lopoi Gaton’ ,the festival is celebrated annually by ASBA. This year under the directions of CM we are celebrating at the heritage park.CM PS Tamang has consented to attend the programme on Monday. Our tribal folk music and dances will be a part of the cultural event on 15th Dec, ‘ said Chairman, Housing D|v Board ,Karma Tashi supervising the activities going on.
While Chairman , State Youth Dev Board Rinzing W Chopel,described it as ‘ Welcoming Losoong festival, it’s a cultural programme . It has huge involvement and participation of youth. On the last day of the 2 day even ‘Shabda’ dance will be performed. All are appealed to join and enjoy the festivities at ridge park.’
Earlier,Ecclesiastical Minister Sonam Lama ,visited the art,crafts and food stalls put up by ASBA on the palace road.He was joined by Adviser Culture Thinley Tshering Bhutia, MLA.
