MGM Water ATM Turning Ornamental?
Gangtok,13th Oct: Automated Teller Machine ( Water ATM) ,installed at MG M,is out of order.The all time Water Vending Machine,was serving local public,tourists and just anyone,who inserted coin.But now it does nt function.
The ATM inaugurated by MLA Delay Namgyal Barfungpa also Advisor UDD,on 8th September 2025 ,is meant to provide hot and normal drinking water .Many people continued putting in coins but with no out put .Since there was no notice about it not functioning a concerned citizen wrote ‘ Not Working’ to save waste of money by just anyone and everyone
The Vending machine has been put up with the support of Torrent Pharma out of CSR with the blessing of CM PS Tamang.
If it continues to function,it will not only provide safe drinking water to people but reduce Plastic Bottle waste!
Observers feel that it would be better if concerned authorities in coordination with other department experts resume the facility of Vending machine.
According to sources it has no electricity connection to help water output ,so someone needs to work on it,else inform Pharma for additional CSR to pay for it too.
