
Gangtok: 7th September: CM PS Tamang has ,extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Pang Lhabsol.
Highlighting the significance of the festival, CM PS Tamang has said , ‘It symbolizes unity, brotherhood, and harmony among the people of Sikkim, with Mt. Khangchendzonga revered as our guardian deity. Pang Lhabsol commemorates the historic signing of the treaty of blood-brotherhood between Lepcha chieftain Thekong Thek and Bhutia leader Khye-Bum-Sa, a moment that laid the foundation for lasting peace and mutual respect in our lan .Over time, Pang Lhabsol has transcended its origins to become a celebration embraced by all communities across Sikkim, reflecting the inclusive spirit of our state. Today, it stands as one of our most cherished festivals, honoring our shared heritage and collective identity.’
CM Tamang ,joined by his spouse Madam Krishna, offered prayers to the Mt. Khangchendzonga to continue guiding with peace, unity, and communal harmony.’ He has said ‘, May this occasion inspire every Sikkimese to preserve our unique cultural legacy and work together for a future of peace, progress, and prosperity.’
