US imposes 25+25 % on Imports from India
But Why?
US President Donald Trump,in a tariff imposing spree,levied 25% on Indian Imports.While the talks with India were pending,Trump came up with additional 25% just in the form of sanctions for India continuing to buy Oil and defence equipment from Russia.This totals to 50%of tariff to be paid.And it’s not sure if the talks will be held
at all.The President has reportedly said no negotiation talks on trade!But,can anyone expect any Independent Democratic Nation to follow dictated foreign – trade policy? No ,no sorry!
However,it is to be mentioned here,that US imports Pearls,Gems,Agricultural products,Pharmaceuticals items and a few more.India imports Defence equipment with some more.
Though it is being said that the US has gained due to tariffs imposed on so many countries at high rates,it is well believed that it is not ,else why should Prez sack the Head of Labour Statistics releasing figures on Employment,wages,jobs and weak economic figures ?The tariffs will have some impact on Indian economy,but more so on American.As the tariffs imposed at a high rate will affect the US consumers badly.Making everything costly for them.The INFLATION is expected to be killing!NN
