Virtual Workshop on PMVBRY Held; Tibetan Refugee Card Accepted for EPFO Joint Declaration
Gangtok, Oct 9th:The Employees Provident Fund Office authorities Gangtok , in collaboration with the Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO), Gangtok, organised a virtual workshop on Wednesday about the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY). The session witnessed the participation of over 20 Tibetan Settlement Officers from across India.
RPFC Kesang Namthak Tenzing, , addressed the participants and highlighted the benefits of PMVBRY, which aims to promote formal employment and extend social security coverage to more workers.
A key announcement during the workshop was that the Tibetan Refugee Card is now accepted as a valid document under EPFO’s simplified Joint Declaration process. This step is expected to greatly benefit members of the Tibetan community by simplifying the process of updating member details and ensuring easier access to EPF benefits.
The participants appreciated the collaborative initiative and stressed the need for wider dissemination of the scheme and EPFO’s simplified processes among Tibetan settlements nationwide.
