State & Distt Control Rooms Supervising LPG Distribution:Shortage – Black Marketing -Emergency cases monitored
Gangtok:7th April: To relieve public of tension , State & District Control Rooms have been supervising LPG distribution across Sikkim.
The Control Rooms consisting of 7 members each,are expected to control hoarding,black marketing,while regulating the supply.
State Govt has been working towards ensuring effective monitoring,coordination and grievance redressal.
The control rooms have representatives from concerned departments in including Food Police,Health, Education,Women& Child DSC Welfare Tourism and SLC.
Priority is to be given to Hospitals,Educational institutions.Quota has been fixed and Urban 1 LPG cylinder every 25 days and rural every 45 days.
Control rooms have been mandated by the Secy Food to function 24×7 .
The LPG cylinders are said to be available to those with LPG books.Those with dormant accounts are being assured that their accounts will be activated after a month i.e.in May .So that solves the issue.
