SLA Session today:
Gangtok,30th June :Sikkim Legislative Assembly session has been reconvened by the Speaker MN Sherpa.The one day long session has been summoned on 30th June 2025.
In view of the Legislative session,District Magistrate ,Gangtok has imposed prohibitory order under section 163 of Bhartiya Nayay S Sahita,in the area falling within 300 meters radius from the outer boundary of the Assembly Secretariate.
According to order issued by DC Tushar Nikhare IAS,the prohibitory order shall be effective from 8am on 30th June ’25 and will remain in force till the session ends.
The Prohibitory order will be in force ‘ to ensure smooth sitting of the assembly,to maintain sanctity and decorum.’
Further,to maintain law and order,and to prevent any untoward incident leading to further disturbance DC Nikhare has prohibited under section 163 bnss ,’assembly of 5 or more persons,,sloganeering,
However,the law enforcement agencies ,engaged in maintenance of Law & Order are exempted from the prohibitory order .
