Gangtok:15th March: CM PS Tamang, chaired a coordination meeting on Sunday, to review the preparations for the upcoming Sikkim International Film Festival, scheduled to be held from 19th to 22nd March in Gangtok.
‘Highlighting the significance of the festival, CM said he,” encouraged the concerned departments and all line departments to work in close coordination and maintain smooth planning and execution. ”
‘The Sikkim Film Festival will serve as an excellent platform to showcase our state on an international stage, reflecting our collective commitment to promoting Sikkim through art and cinema,’ said CM.
CM Tamang , emphasised the ‘ opportunity to celebrate and present Sikkim’s breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant traditions, and rich cultural heritage through this festival. Events of this nature play a meaningful role in strengthening our cultural identity while promoting Sikkim as an inspiring destination for cinema, art, and tourism.’
CM Tamang has asked all officials and stakeholders associated with the festival to contribute with dedication, enthusiasm, and a shared sense of responsibility so that the event is organised in a befitting manner and becomes a memorable and successful celebration’.
Earlier ,the Secretary ,IPR Department delivered a detailed presentation outlining the key aspects of the festival, including the venues, estimated costs, committees constituted to oversee various responsibilities, logistical arrangements, programme schedules, and the dignitaries expected to attend the event.’
