Sikkim International Film Festival
Gangtok: Sikkim International Film Festival,started in the presence of Governor and CM of Sikkim.It has been organised in collaboration with NDFC and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting .The Inaugural session also had presence of eminent CEO from film producers guild of India.
CM said SIFF is to showcase Sikkim’s culture globally. Empowering Youth. He thanked PM Narendra Modi for supporting it.
‘ Lets celebrate the piwer of Cinema’,said N T Ahuja.He said it was truly rare occasion.
Chairman,Music Drama and Film Board,Tashi Tshering, appreciated the hardwork being put in by the Information and Public Relations deptt headed by Secretary Annapurna Alley.He said Film Festival ,here has been join3d by Script Writers,Investors and Gilm Makers ,giving an opportunity to aspiring youth here.
Earlier State Secy IPR ,A Alley welcomed the guests at the First ever International Film Festival in Sikkim.She said it has been dedicated exclusively to the Himalayan belt.It is going to be ideas meeting stories.She also informed about the mentorship that the talents here would be getting from experts.
Red Carpet for the dignitaries and selected guests was an evening affair.Satyajit Ray’s film Sikkim was screened for them.
The SIFF will go on till 22 nd March with many useful programme.
