Gangtok:2nd March: CM PS Tamang attended the DGPs/IGPs Conference–Follow-up and Policy Deliberation Meeting and interacted with the senior leadership of the Sikkim Police.
CM said ,’Public trust is the true strength of the police not weapons, but compassion, integrity, and commitment to service. Sikkim’s rich legacy of unity, respect, and harmony must continue to guide our policing approach. I urge the force to remain firm and uncompromising with criminals, while being courteous, humane, and empathetic towards citizens.’
CM added ,’The police uniform is a symbol of identity, pride, discipline, and duty. The Sikkim Police has consistently upheld law and order with professionalism, earning respect within the State and beyond. While we believe in inclusive and humane values, elements that disturb social harmony will be dealt with strictly as per the law’.
‘Our Government stands firmly with its police force supporting, strengthening, and motivating you at every step. Your dedication, integrity, and service are the backbone of peace and security in our State, and your role in safeguarding society is deeply valued and wholeheartedly encouraged’ CM said further.
