Gangtok:21st Jan: Highly impressed by CM PS Golay and SKM, Lama Nimtsay Namgyal Bhutia and former Councillor in Milan Khati who was serving as the Working President CAP,submitted resignation from the party today.
The duo disclosed that they have resigned and are looking forward to formally joining Sikkim Krantikari Morcha Party,on 4th February ’26.
‘We were given only a hard copy on joining the Citizen Action Party on with no rights.The Party President,Ganesh Rai never ever cared to answer back our calls .Never listened to our suggestions.It was a one man show!’ said Lama. He was incharge of Sangha wing of the CAP.
And has claimed to be having about 1500 Lama’s as his followers
‘ I will enter SKM party with all my Lama’s as also those holding high positions.Ir my appeal to others too to quit that party and join SKM where they can work serve people as there are many opportunities.CAP President ,only speaks on Facebook.And only on personal matters nothing about public issues ‘,said Lama.He also appreciated law & order during Golay rule in specially citing example of Jorethang Mela completing without any fights.
Milan Khati,one of the founder members of CAP,said he does not appreciate criticising others on personal grounds.Oppisition parties need to oppose , but sometimes appreciation of good work should also be done.Ganesh Rai’s speeches are not of a Reformist.Nothing about reforms is done.CAP lacks collectivity.So we are resigning’, said Khati. He said CM Golay is so benevolent and helps sick ,children and others and it’s really worth appreciating ,should not be criticised.My followers would also be joining subsequently,’ he added.
Both the members asserted that CAP will never come to power or form Govt.
However,it has been informed that more will be joining on 27th Jan ’24.
