Gangtok:22nd March :Four day long Sikkim International Film Festival has culminated, here on Sunday. After screening of +40 movies in different languages with sub-title and business, creators marketing sessions , the stakeholders saw closing function at Inox, West Point Mall itself. The First ever SIFF was held at the behest of CM.
Chairman Film Board Tashi Tshering said,’ Thanked all present and shared his experience.’ International Film Festival was held for the First time.Lauded the Secretary I PR and cordial relationship among them with all the officers and staff.IPR even if small deptt had very good management due to which we were so sucessful.We got a good platform for our artists,with so many eminent film related entities participating.He thanked Chief Coordinator Dr Manoj.CM’s blessings for the artists we got the opportunity to host the festival.Now we will be getting a Censor Board .Single window sustem for makinf ease of business for artists has been done.
Chairman IPR,Ashit Rai,said CM is thanked for unwavering faith in them.CM has opened the doors to us.Most memorable even in SIFF was the Red Carpet.Thanked Film Board Chairman TT Bhutia and Sanjay Dilpali Chairman of Culture Board.Admired Annapurna Alley’s dedicated and commendable job also her team.Film fraternity from Sikkim for extraordinary contributions.We are committed to making Sikkim a global destination for films.
Secretary IPR Annapurna Alley, said ,’It has been a good journey bitter and sweet.It has reached a moment of reflection.My whole team worked very hard it would not have been possible without them.Found Film Maker guests very much excited for us She lauded both the Chairmen Tashi Tshering and Ashit Rai.We should forge ahead we have proved Sikkim in the Film areana if we could make it a certification point .Thanked all those who contributed, departments ,SHGs and eateries.’
Pabi Sakya, Stakeholder asked the aspiring and budding to take the advantage of the platform being provided by CM Tamang with IPR.
CEO of NR Group Nitesh Rohan,thanked CM for letting them establish Film Festival here.It has taken,17 years.Hope we can create eco system for films here.
Press Secretary to CM ,Yougan Tamang, its the beginning of a new era.I feel sorry for those I have been impulsive towards them.He expressed gratitude towards CM.Getting his green signal was too good.And acknowledged all those who were supporting.Output will be pondered over within no time.He thanked everyone on behalf of the CMO.CM he said believes in PPP mode .First time our Film Makers were acknowledged by making them walk on the Red Carpet at the directions of CM.
The dignitaries felicitated the artists contributors and those who aided the event.Prominent were from Lottery Deptt,Tea Garden,SBS and others.
Earlier Yadop Adhikari, IPR traced the series of programmes which were conducted from 19th to 22nd March, once the inauguration was done by Governor and CM of Sikkim.
