PM Shri GSS School Dentam -Centenary Celebrations from 10th to 18th Oct : Krishna Lepcha OSD RDD
Gangtok:6th Oct :PM Shri Govt Senior Secondary School,Dentam West Sikkim,with 100 years of historic past is hosting Centenary Celebrations.OSD Rural Development,has invited all to participate in the programme from 10th to 18th October 2025.As the Chief Coordinator,Organising Committee,Lepcha interacting with media in a press conference held here today on said’,Chief Minister PS Tamang will be inaugurating the new Govt built library on 18th October,on the Valedictory function.He is also scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed stage ,which has been made ready with the help of donations collected.
‘The Minister for Education will be the Chief Guest,on 10th October and will inaugurate the programme.He will give away prizes to the winners of contests held from 18th September onwards in the first phase of Celebrations ‘
‘ The PM Shri School has produced many leaders,bureaucrats and others To cite a few ex ,Deputy CM PT Luksum.The area MLA is also product of PM Shri School.Those who have studied there and contributed should not miss participating and making Centenary a grand success, joined by others.And enjoy local traditional cuisines ‘
President,Organising Committee Dinesh Gurung,( Zilla Panchayat) said ‘,The School is possibly one of the 3-4 in the State ,completing 100 years.In the first phase we conducted games & sports,Foot-ball tournaments particularly,debates and Science& Technology programmes.The First phase was inaugurated by area MLA Sudesh Kumar Limboo,including the newly constructed entrance gate .
Vice Principal,Ramesh Gurung,speaking about the heritage School and its Centenary Celebrations,said ,’Chief Patron ,Organising Committee is MLA. Sudesh Limboo and Patron SK Gurung.Prizes for finals of Football tournament ,will be given by CM on 18th First prise is of Rs 3 Lakhs and for Runners Up 2 Lakhs. All are invited even if cant be contacted personally to join and make it a grand success
Also present was coordinator,Panchayat Sabhapati Mahendra Gurung.
It was informed that more literary programmes,teaching learning ,Science exhibition and inter school competitions will be held till 18thOctober.
