Gangtok:25th Sept: Phulpati Shobhayatra to be held on 29th Sept,Maharashtra Saptami’ ,announced RK Waling Chairman Temi Tea Board,here today.He was accompanied by his Celebration Committee,including Vice President Sonam Sherpa,Dr Yogesh Chettri and Meghraj.
Chairman ,Waling was pleased to highlight that the Govt led by PS Tamang allows every community to observe and celebrate their festivals at their best .Now,at his behest with Chief Patron Arun Upreti Minister RDD ,Patron(s) MLA D Namgyal , MLA Kala Rai and Lakpa Jojo ( name known to public) a committee has been formed for successful Shobhayatra.The procession will start from MG Marg and after taking a round it will culminated there only.’
Waling said further ,that all the 21 communities will join .The Presidents of each association like Gurung,Newar,Rai,Tamang and all the rest will join as coordinators.They have been invited to join on 27th also for a meeting at ‘Masaala’hotel to collect all the information about how and what has to be done by them’.
The Committee has requested all the participants to come for the Shobhayatra in their respective ethnic costumes,or even each other’s.
Vice President Sonam Sherpa,has appealed to public to assemble at MG Marg for Phulpati Shobhayatra on 29th September at 8 am.
Phulpati is religious part of 10 day long ,Dashain festival and is observed on the 7th day of the same.
