Gangtok:11th July:Eleven newly appointed female Chairpersons and only one Officer on Special Duty,expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister PS Tamang for their respective posts,on Wednesday in a local hotel .
‘Leading Self Help Group earlier I used to work for the grass roots.It was on 3rd March,that CM PS Tamang had announced appointing Chairpersons from amongst SHG members.There are 55 Thousand SHG members,in 6 Districts.To begin with men and women both were taken as members.Bur later 2016 -2017 the system changed’ said Rai.Since the mobilization and uniting the women has become easy. Now SHGs are financially independent.We were working towards making women self
dependent.as some are still dependent .That causes trauma ! We are helped by our sister SHGs ,when in crisis.’
‘ Now,that CM PS Tamang has appointed us to a position ,we are going to take it as responsibility.We will be working sincerely.And would be starting to work towards realisation of CM’s ‘vision of ‘ Viksit Bharat-Sunaulo and Samridha Sikkim.
