MP Indra Hang Subba stresses Balanced Reporting at an Award Ceremony
Gangtok,24th May : ‘Without passion struggle can not be successful.Press – media have to maintain balance ,it is good for democracy.Injustice is caused not only to any opposition but it happens to the ruling also,’ said MP Subba.He was addressing a gathering at the ‘Ram Patro Memorial Award ‘ ceremony here today.
Lone Lok Sabha MP ,Sikkim said ,’ Journalism needs to be credible.If journalists lose credibility they would not be trusted.’
About the changed journalistic scenario,MP said ‘ Entire dynamics of journalism have changed due to Social Media.As the news is not verified and it is not credible.’
MP described journalists as the mirror of society as also of politicians.It helps to make policy decisions.’
Earlier,MP congratulated authorities SE & H Bela,for their 49 years of success and wished the same for future too.He congratulated the awardees in Puran Tamang Editor Summit Times,Kushang Lewang Journalist West Sikkim and Suman Rai Gangtok.
