Gangtok:5th Dec: Mordent Thapa, Sikkim Police Service officer, has been appointed to the Indian Police Service( IPS),for the select list of 2024,against the vacancy determined by the Govt of India to allocate to Sikkim cadre. This has been done by the Ministry of Home Affairs to Govt of India, as per rule 5 of IPS( cadre) rules 1954.
According to the order issued in the name of the President of India ,on 27th Nov 2025,Mordent Thapa will have to obtain Induction training , during probation period of one year only.
