Bahun – Chettri recognised as ‘Khas’ -No worries about caste census: Bikash Basnet Political Secretary to CM cum Party Spokesperson
Gangtok,26th June : ‘ Bahun – Chettris don’t have to worry ,there will be no problem.DESME will be the Nodal agency.And the Khas has been defined in 2021 and via another notification in 2022.
‘ The Khas have been hurt by statements of former CM PS Tamang and his disciple Ganesh Rai( Prez Citizen Action Party now).
Spokesperson Basnet,said, ‘ Chamling has also made fun of ‘Khas’ and ‘ Khas Diwas’. The day is to honour Khas community.’
However,it is well known that CM PS Tamang had declared Feb 26th as the Khas Diwas’,to be observed every year.
