ISKCON Gangtok Hosts Week-long Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations
Gangtok, Sikkim – August 11 2025 – ISKCON Gangtok will celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami with a week-long festival from August 12–17, 2025, featuring spiritual discourses, cultural performances, and grand festivities.
Events begin on August 12 with daily Śrīmad Bhāgavatam Katha (4–7 p.m.) by HG Prashant Mukund, followed by prasadam. Highlights include:
Aug 12–14: Krishna Lila Katha 4pm
Aug 15: Vrindavan Festival – Dance, drama, and Kirtan Mela by international devotees
Aug 16: Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsava – 8 a.m. to midnight
Aug 17: Concluding feast – 3 p.m. onwards
Dignitaries, including the Honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim and His Excellency the Governor, are expected to attend.
