Paktong 27th Feb:A fire incident on February 27 at the residence of Hem Nath Nawbag in Upper Khamdong Ward under Aritar GPU, has destroyed the house and documents.
District Administrative Centre, Pakyong, deputed a team to inspect the affected site and evaluate the extent of the damage caused.A joint team comprising Panchayat representatives, SDM Rongli Suren Kumar Pradhan, BDO Rhenock SK Dhungana, along with officials from the Disaster Management Team, Police Department, and Fire Department, visited the location. The team carried out a detailed assessment of the damages and interacted with the family members to understand their immediate needs and concerns.
SDM Rogli Suren K Pradhan, disbursed,ex gratia in accordance with the norms of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), to the affected family to provide immediate financial relief. The Pakyong District Administration also extended relief materials under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. These materials were handed over today by SDM (HQ) Thendup Lepcha to support the family during this period of hardship.
