ESIC authorities held a programme to generate awareness about SPREE and ESIC Scheme
Gangtok:8th Oct: The Central Govt has extended Employees’ State Insurance Scheme to shops,cinema,restaurants,hotels,News paper establishments,non-banking financial companies,pvt medical institutions ,road motor transport undertakings,ports ,airports and many more.Sikkim already has 8260 women and 27850 male employees Insured so far.
Commissioner Insurance,Pranay Saha,said SPREE ’25 is an initiative by ESIC ,encouraging unregistered employees to self register through their portal.
Addressing the gathering of representatives of different companies,organizations, Saha described the scheme as beneficial for both the stakeholders,viz Employers and Employees.It goes on from July and ends on December 25.’
He appealed to unregistered employers and employees to get registered. If they have 10 or more workers they can get registered,till 31st December without any penalty or documents regarding past,’ said he.
S Neopaney,Director ESI Sikkim ,was happy to announce that soon registered employees will have Radiology facility .Manipal has been empanelled for it today in the meeting during the day time.Even the rates will be as per CG HS.The payements through bank accounts will be done.’

It was informed that those employers with 10 or more employees even in different branches of tbe same owner,can get registered with ESCI.
They get many benefits,including sickness,accident,maternity,disability,death during employment .Social security benefits given through the scheme are one of the top most in the world.It extends benefit of reservation of seats in ESIC medical /dental Colleges under ‘Ward of Insured Patient Scheme.So register today for the peace of mind.
