Gangtok,13h Dec: 3 Day Sikkim Vishwakarma ‘s Utsav has started here .The Mela has been organised by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Gangtok, Sikkim.
The PM- Sikkim Vishwakarma Yojna, aims at age old ‘Guru -Shishya Parampra’ , that is disciple learning from a Mentor or teacher , this way knowledge about different skills and occupations is passed on from generation to generation.
‘Theme of MSME-DFO organised , Mela is ‘Colours of Sikkim Arts & Traditions’.
Mayalmit Lepcha,MSME Vishwakarma programme said,All the traditional artifacts, handicrafts are being exhibited in the stalls here. We are also providing open mic stage for cultural performances. ‘She added that the stalls have been put up by Vishwakarma vendors.Sikkim MSME gives skill training & stipends,tool kit upto Thousand and Collateral free loan upto 3 Lakhs to aspiring candidates in 17 trades
It’s well known that PM Narendra Modi had launched the scheme on Vishwakarma Jayanti on 17th September 2023.
The programme will go on from 12th to 14th Dec.25
