Gangtok:11th March: CM PS Tamang attended the two-day religious program at Upper Martam .He laid the foundation-stone of the Ugyen Wodsel Pemacholing Monastery.CM offered prayers to His Holiness Kyabje Dungzin Garab Rinpoche for his presence and spiritual blessings.
CM has described the programme as ‘ not only a religious ceremony but also a meaningful occasion that strengthens faith, preserves cultural heritage, and reminds of the timeless values of compassion, wisdom, and harmony. Rituals such as Jinsek (fire offering) and kawang (long-life blessing) hold deep spiritual significance, praying for purification, wellbeing, and the removal of obstacles.’
‘The foundation-laying marked the beginning of a sacred journey and the upcoming monastery will serve as a center for prayer, meditation, and spiritual learning for generations to come’,said CM.He appreciated all those who made the event possible.
‘May the blessings of Lord Buddha, Guru Padmasambhava, and all Bodhisattvas bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to the people of Sikkim and to all beings, ‘ said CM finally ,wishing all the best for people of Sikkim.
