Gangtok,30th July :C M PS Tamang, chaired a coordination meeting at Samman Bhawan,here today.The meeting was held for preparations of the ‘Aama Samman Diwas’, scheduled to be held on August 10 in Rangpo. This significant occasion is dedicated to honoring the unconditional love, sacrifices, and lifelong contributions of mothers from across our State.
‘On this day, mothers who meet the criteria outlined under the government’s guidelines will be presented with cheques under the Ama Sashaktikaran Yojana, an initiative focused on empowering and uplifting the mothers of Sikkim,’ said CM.
During the meeting, CM, highlighted the vital role mothers play in shaping our society. ‘As caregivers, educators, and mentors, they instill in their children values of compassion, empathy, and responsibility. These values form the foundation of a strong and morally conscious society, as they are reflected in the character of the next generation,’ said CM.
Furthermore, ‘I issued clear instructions to all present, including Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Advisors, Political Secretaries, OSDs, CLC Presidents, the Secretary of the Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Divyangjan Welfare Department, and other officials, to build dedicated teams in their respective constituencies to identify genuine and deserving beneficiaries with fairness and transparency. No deserving mother should be left out, and every effort must be made to ensure justice and integrity in the selection process,’ said CM Tamang
Chief Minister,Tamang. has appealed to work with sincerity and commitment to ensure that every eligible mother is recognized and honored for her selfless contributions. This initiative is not merely a government program, but a heartfelt tribute to the enduring strength and spirit of motherhood.’
