Gangtok:25th Nov: BJP Sikkim State Spokesperson, Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, has demanded a transparent, actionable and time-bound plan to permanently resolve the chronic water scarcity in Gangtok. And has asked the Deptt to provide 24×7 continuous water supply for 12 months.In a letter written to authorities of Public Health Engineering and Water Resource Department Govt of Sikkim in on behalf of the citizens, he has expressed disappointment regarding the perpetual deficiency of drinking water supply in the Capital .
SG Bhutia, has pointed out 3 waterless days in the Smart City Gangtok till today, as also earlier for 7 days during Dashera festival. He has expressed surprise at massive public expenditure on water supply still resulting in no drinking water. Spokesperson Sangay has said ‘The cyclic failure demands immediate and rigrous scrutiny. And has asked Deptt to shoulder full responsibilty and accountability for its actions and inability to deliver its primary functions .
