Hangtok:26th : CM PS Tamang inaugurated the Denzong Dudzom Throesma Phakpa Dzong Monastery at Chandmari, Syari Constituency today in the august presence of His Eminence Kyapje Tinkey Gonzang Rinpoche.
The vision for this monastery was conceived in 2020 under the guidance of the revered late Lopon Sonam P. Dorjee, and it was formally registered the same year with around 25 practitioners. Construction began in 2022, and with the support and continuous monitoring of the Government of Sikkim, this sacred institution has been successfully completed in 2026.
Dedicated to the practice and preservation of Throesma Nakmo Sadhana, an important practice of the Dudzom tradition of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, this monastery will serve as a centre for spiritual practice, devotion and the preservation of our precious Buddhist heritage.
‘It is heartening to see the community of practitioners grow today and I am confident that with their continued devotion and the blessings of the Guru-Shishya lineage, this monastery will continue to flourish and guide thousands of followers in the years ahead,’CM said.
CM has extended congratulations to the respected Tulkus, Khenpos, Lopens, Lamas, the Phakpa Dzong and Sangha members, all spiritual masters, devotees and the entire community on the auspicious occasion.
