Gangtok:14th Sept: CM performed the Vastu Puja of the newly constructed Jan Sewa Bhawan (Mini Secretariat) at Lumsey today, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and Teej.
The Jan Sewa Bhawan was virtually inaugurated by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi
during his recent visit to Sikkim marking another major step towards strengthening public infrastructure and bringing governance closer to our people,’ said CM further.
‘The office will officially commence functioning from 15 September 2026, with major departments like Rural Development Department, Health & Family Welfare, Education, Water Resources, Sikkim Public Service Commission and the Corporation Department functioning from this facility.’
‘For our people, particularly those coming from distant districts, this will mean less travel, less expenditure, less waiting and greater convenience. They will no longer have to travel all the way to Gangtok for many of their official requirements concerning these departments’ saif CM.
