The delegation of Sikkim Legislative Assembly (CPA Sikkim Branch) led by the Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly Mingma Norbu Sherpa, Deputy Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Raj Kumari Thapa accompanied by Secretary, Lalit Kumar Gurung and Principal Director, Karma Tsh Gyatso Bhutia have left for Cape Town, South Africa via Turkey to participate in the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference and the 42nd Small Branches Conference organized by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association w.e.f 13th to 19th September 2026.
Sikkim (CPA Branch) is a lone Member of the CPA Small Branches Network from the India Region and the Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly , Mingma Norbu Sherpa is the Member of CPA Small Branches Steering Committee.
The delegation will also undertake post conference study tours to Singapore.
