Gangtok:11th Aug: Sashstra Seema Bal Gangtok & Siliguri together presented musical extravaganza at MG Marg , here today. The SSB personnel marched through MG marg bearing tri- colour and gracefully carried out Tiranga Yatra.
It was followed by patriotic songs honouring the motherland ,the National Flag also chanting Vande Matram.The Musical/ Jazz band was led by ASI Dipanker Chatterjee.
Ashsh Dwivedi,SSB,Sector HQ Gangtok,in his Introductory address said ,’ The musical evening at MG Marg is not only a programme but its patriotism and in the honour of our National Flag.The function has been organised under Ghar Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.Tri colour is not only for housting on some buildings but to be hoisted door to door.It signifies our unity.
Vande Matram is the song which united our freedom fighters earlier.This was sung by them during the freedom struggle. It brought national unity then . It is being commemorated from 7th Nov 2025 to 7th Nov 2026.
Dwivedi reminded everyone to honour and respect National flag and Vande Matram as a part of duty and patriotism.
Huge crowd gathered at MG Marg and all were mesmerized by grand musical evening .
