Gangtok:23rd July: Chief Minister has shared his feelings at Legislators attired in their ethnic costumes. CM has said , ‘It fills my heart with immense pride to witness the Members of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly honouring our state’s rich cultural heritage through the graceful display of traditional attire ,as we reconvened for the Annual Budget Session 2026–27.’
‘The beautiful representation of Sikkim’s diverse communities Lepcha, Bhutia and Nepali reflects the true spirit of our state, a land where traditions, cultures, and identities come together in harmony. The attire worn by our Members is not merely a symbol of our heritage; it is a proud expression of our collective history, values, and the deep-rooted traditions that bind us together.’
‘As the Leader of the House, I feel privileged to see this celebration of unity in diversity within the very walls of our Assembly. It reminds us that while we may belong to different communities and backgrounds, we stand united in our shared commitment to the progress, prosperity, and well-being of Sikkim.’
