Gangtok:13th May:3rd edition of Sikkim Kalakar Bharosa Sammelan, to be hosted under Govt logo from 14th to 15th May. It aims at providing a platform to the artists ( kalakars) for nothing less than self reliance.
Chairman,Sikkim Art, Culture and Heritage, Sanjay Dilpali , has said, ‘ CM PS Tamang will be addressing the artists on 15th May and Actor Bollywood Sonu Sood will be delivering a motivational talk on the day.Evening programme will be marked by Suffi Kawalis.Dilpali was jpined by Dr Manoj VP SKM Culture Wing,Sushma Chettri Chief Coordinator ,Thupden Rinzing Member SACH Board and orhanizing team.
On the inaugural day 14th May ,Minister for Culture GT Dhungel will be the Chief Guest and Madam Krishna Rai the Guest of honour .
912 ‘Kalakars ‘ registered through coordinators will be given ID cards , they have been asked to report at 9 am. This will be followed by master classes . Resource Persons include , Actress Karishma Mahananda Nepal, Sandeep Chettri TV ( Nepal),for Films Prashant Rasaily and Tribeni Rai.
Others include Sudip Baral,Shishir Thapa,Bipin Kumar and S . Chakraborty from Nepal, Tripura based ,Lucknow and Gangtpk respectively.
Awards will be given in two categories reality show performers and general.
The programme helped earlier in 2024 by Govt has become a calendar event to be hosted by State Govt is really encouraging for the artists.
