MLA Kala Rai Thanked PM Modi for 33 % Reservation amendment bill
Gangtok:17th April: After merger in 1975 our population has increased.So the bill will be advantageous ,’said MLA Kala Rai, also Vice Chairperson of the Organizing Committee for Rally in support of ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Vidheyak’ , here today.She said ‘ All the mothers from Sikkim, are blessing PM Narendra Modi, for NSVA . Never
heard of male bringing such a bill in favour of females,but Modi has done it ! We all the females hereby thank him. Today we are all here from across the State including different political parties,Govt offices and house wives.’
‘The amendment bill ,is good for us.It will provide us very good opportunities.We will get seats reserved in assembly and at least14 seats (out of 32) in Sikkim Legislative Assembly after delimitation .’
MLA Rai said more women legislatures will lead to economic upgradation here.
However the amendment bill cpuld not secure Two Thirds of vote hence has collapsed.
