Gangtok/ Delhi :8th April: Sikkim CM Called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,today in Delhi.CM said he had a warm, cordial, and meaningful interaction with the Prime Minister.
‘At the outset, I extended heartiest congratulations to the Prime Minister on the remarkable milestone of becoming the longest-serving Head of Government in India.
During the meeting, apprised him of Sikkim’s key developmental priorities and emerging needs, and discussed avenues for further strengthening support in areas such as infrastructure development, sustainable growth, and the overall welfare of our people,’added CM Tamang.
CM ,also expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude for the reopening of the Nathu La Pass trade route (Silk Route), scheduled to resume from June 2026, which is expected to significantly benefit local communities as well as the trading fraternity.’
Further, CM extended a warm invitation to Prime Minister for the closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee of Sikkim’s Statehood, which he graciously accepted.
CM said further. ‘ I conveyed my heartiest gratitude for the continued guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support extended by the Government of India towards the sustained progress and prosperity of the State of Sikkim.’
