Gangtok:30th March: Vice President, Scheduled Caste wing of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, Shekhar Sewa, has condemned the statements made public by Sikkim Democratic Front party Spokespersons , about seat reservation for forthcoming elections to Urban Local Bodies.
Sewa alleged’ the party( SDF) which ruled for 25 years never cared for their community, or to uplift them, at all. They had represented the then Govt but nothing was done . ‘
‘ Now that present Govt has given us 7% reservation,they are critical.
Coordinator,SC wing SKM, thanked CM PS Tamamg for 7%. reservation for Scheduled Castes .
Earlier ,Govt had not done the needful despite their requests.Now they are expressing unhappiness .
