Gangtok:26th March: 4th session of 11th Sikkim Legislative Assembly, culminated passing 3 Bills, Supplementary Demands for Grants,Vote on Accounts, today. As also the Appropriation bill.
Due to the Model Code of Conduct for ensuring Urbal Local body elections, only Vote on Accounts was passed by the house. The fund is required to meet up salaries , wages payment.
Demand for grants for 2025-6 ,presented by CM PS Tamamg also holding Finace portfolio, projected for expenditure of Rs 113619.70 lakhs, On Revenue accounts only Rs 40967.74 lakhs to On Capital accounts Rs. 72651.. 96 lakhs.
Vote on Accounts -fund requirement projected at Rs 832331.04 lakhs . Out of it Revenue account – Rs 569976.37 Lakhs . Capital account -2623540.68 Lakhs. This is for salary pensions etc. Full budget will be taken up in due course of time.
