Gangtok:14th March: The visitors/ tourists touring to North Sikkim , have some new and helpful advisory /or rules, introduced by Govt.
‘ Everyone should,get permit issued for Lachen :& Lachung axis one day in advance.Nothing will be done on tne same day.For crossing the Toong Police Checkpost minimum of 3 days and 2 nights,while maximum wpuld be 6 days and 5 nights.The drivers will have to cross Toong checkpost before 4 pm.
The Vehicle has to be well maintained and in good mechanical condition.The visitors are expected to visit only those destinations which have been specified on the permit,otherwise they will get penalties,as per relevant sections of the Tourism Act.
In addition to this Travel agents and Tour operators have been directed to ensure safety of the passengers as also driver.
